Senior Manager, Asset Management
Description
The Senior Manager will deliver Asset Management services across a portfolio of Renewable Energy Assets on behalf of RES Australia’s clients, ensuring adherence to best practice for safety, compliance, quality and environmental performance, whilst maximizing generation and enhancing community and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. The project portfolio will generally comprise of technology specific projects but could also include hybrid technologies. The role will need to continuously look for ways to improve the service whilst maintaining a high level of efficiency. The scope will include long term contracts but will also involve generating additional value for our clients through additional services ultimately generating additional revenue for the business.
Given that the role will be leading a team who will be responsible for the delivery of the Asset Management services across different technologies, particular emphasis is placed on team leadership, stakeholder management, nurturing client relationships and superior management of contractual obligations on behalf of RES Australia’s clients.
The Senior Manager role is also responsible for ongoing improvement of efficiency for Asset Management service delivery and hence will take a lead role in implementation of digital solutions, including liaising with RES colleagues globally. The role will also support the Head of Asset Management in activities related to business development.

The position
This role is expected to work collaboratively across the Australia Asset Management team to develop and manage a cohesive high performing team whilst keeping RES’ values in focus. The role will drive initiatives related to efficiency improvement, including supporting the Head of Asset management with offshoring initiatives.
Accountabilities
- Act as a liaison between RES Australia and global regions in regard to implementation of digital solutions and business improvement initiatives
- Manage relevant AM P&L on a project basis, to identify areas of concerns and highlight potential solutions to the Head of Asset Management
- Keep up to date on commercial and technical aspects of different project technologies in order to effectively manage the team
- Act as a HSE champion for the AM business.
- Participate in standardization activities of AM processes across all technologies and projects being managed by RES
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the risk management process and delivery for Projects under management and build risk awareness amongst the team– both in delivery of the asset management services and in operations of the projects
- Take responsibility for delivery of all obligations under relevant AMAs under management whilst maintaining nurturing relationships with clients
- Line management of direct reports and provide mentoring / management to the team
- Assist in establishing processes and procedures for AM activities to facilitate achieving ISO certification
- Lead direct reports and act as a mentor in supervising adherence to statutory requirements for Health, Safety and Environmental performance and comply with project specific requirements in accordance with all relevant Project Documents and approvals.
- Support the team in developing and maintaining project specific management tools including; Performance Guarantees, Budgets, Operating Plans, Reporting, Fixed Asset Registers and other quality management tools as necessary. Maintain a complete, detailed, organised and accurate set of project records, forms, templates, procedures, guides and associated communications.
- Support with the review of suite of internal and external project reports in an accurate and timely manner to ensure optimal reporting is being undertaken

- Graduate Engineering, Science.
Business/Law, Finance or other related degree
- Master’s degree in any of the above would be an advantage
- Project management qualification or relevant experience would be ideal
Experience
- Experience in Project Management and Asset Management roles, managing complex projects from initial operations phase
- Profit and Loss experience
- Leading and managing high performing, cross functional teams
